Musicbrainz Outage
Brennan CD players use Musicbrainz to identify CDs when you rip or play them.
Unfortunately Musicbrainz have been forced to severely restrict their service to combat attacks - see below. Not all Brennan owners are affected and for some it appears that it just takes longer than usual. This is a temporary measure and they anticipate some sort of fix next week.
If you are affected Musicbrainz have offered a temporary workaround. You need to register your IP address with them by email and you will be able to access Musicbrainz as before.
The IP address is not the IP address of your Brennan but your router's IP address and you can find that by going to https://www.whatismyip.com/
You should then email support@metabrainz.org with that IP address and ask that they unblock you.
Alternatively you may choose to just wait till next week.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If musicbrainz are unable to combat this problem fairly quickly then we have a couple of ways to fix it using our own servers.
All other Brennan functions are OK and you can play already ripped music.

Message from Musicbrainz
We, like many others, are under attack from unscupulous AI companies
scraping our data and not respecting any robots.txt or just about
anything. We currently resort to blocking lots of IPs, but that isn't a
good solution, we're aware.
