New Lyrics Feature

I think the new Lyrics feature is the most exciting addition to the Brennan family since I added Sonos. Maybe its just me but seeing the words for songs on CDs that I had for decades has brought them back to life in a way I never would have imagined.

It has effectively doubled the pleasure.

The code is quite experimental but I wanted to hear your thoughts and feedback about how

best to deliver this. The service is provided by LRCLIB and I want to know (among other things) how well their server responds. I may use our own server in the future.

The new feature is available on B2 and B3 through the web UI. You need to do a web upgrade then you will find a button at the top of the desktop web UI or a link in the settings panel of the other web UI variants. Or you can just type <brennan ip address>/lyrics.html into a browser.

We have set up our own server. Make sure you have the latest software.

(At the time of writing its the B3 experimental upgrade or the regular B2 web upgrade)

Hints

The Lyrics library use the Artist and Track title so if you changed these it may not find the lyrics.

If you have upgraded the software it might help to clear the lyrics cache to "forget" previously not founds. Type deletelyrics into the debug window command line.
